Up & Down, stretch it all about - kids yoga

Ania Wypijewska

Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children (ages 6 to 12). Yoga improves balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity in children. During this session children will be learning how to use storytelling to support their movement and practice yoga poses. We will focus on creative ways of breathing techniques designed for children.

BIO

Ania, as a  former early years teacher with over 16 years of experience teaching young kids  wanted to share her passion for teaching yoga and wellness to children and their parents.   Ania was a pretty active child herself and wish that when she was growing up there were more opportunities for her and her peers to talk about emotions, meditate or use movement as a way to go within their own body and mind. Sharing her practice with others brings her joy and always inspires her to go further with curiosity.

Ania’s  journey with Yoga has begun around 20 years ago… One class every now and then to begin with. Then trying different styles of Yoga as progressing with a  frequency of weekly classes, working with different teachers, trying a variety of places in different countries, but most importantly her own  journey that creates Ania as a complete person, yet not finished. Yoga has become a daily practice, ritual, routine and lifestyle. For Ania Yoga is not only the movement we create with our body during the practice, it is the life we live, the choices we make, everything that makes us happy, challenges us, help us to grow. It is your mind, your soul, your breath, your mood, your food, your relationships. During her classes, she likes to use these words “”To learn to flow, learn to be still.””
